Erdogan broadens mandate of Turkish President

Almaty. December 30. KazTAG - Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey, will broaden the mandate of the President, reports the Russian service BBC.
"President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced about intention to chair the session of the Government in January. It will be the first precedent of this kind in the Parliamentary Republic in more than 20 years," reads the publication.
In August Erdogan became the first President of the state elected during the direct voting. Before this the President took the post of Prime Minister for 10 years.
The politician repeatedly declared his intention to turn Turkey into the Republic, in which the President will have broadened mandate. For this, he has been repeatedly criticized by opposition.
