EU to cancel flights restrictions for all Kazakhstani air carriers until end of 2014
Astana. May 22. KazTAG - The Ministry of Transport and Communications expects the European Union to cancel flights restrictions for all big air companies of Kazakhstan until the end of 2014, reports MTC.
"Until the end of the year restrictions for all big Kazakhstani air carriers are expected to be cancelled," the message cites Zhenis Kasymbek, Minister of Transport and Communications at the international conference “TransEurasia 2014".
According to the Minister, "it is planned to open 75 new international air routes until 2020, their total number will reach 128".
"13 runways and 9 airport terminals have been reconstructed in Kazakhstan.100% runways reconstruction will be finished until 2020. Totally 18 airports, including 12 with ICAO category, are operating in Kazakhstan. Modern airport hubs are being created at the territories of international airports of Astana and Almaty,” he said.
As reported, in June 2010 the European Union included all the air companies of Kazakhstan except for Air Astana company in the black list of unreliable air carriers, Air Astana was restricted to increase the number and frequency of flights.
