Euro drops following Parliamentary election in Greece
Almaty. January 26. KazTAG - Euro rate has dropped in respect of the majority of currencies at early trades in Australia following the Parliamentary election in Greece where SIRIZA party has won, reports the Russian service BBC.
Euro rate made up 1.1170$ per one Euro falling by almost 50 cents.
The Parliamentary elections took place in Greece on Sunday. According to the latest data, SIRIZA got 36.37% of votes (149 seats). The party needs 151 seats and more to carry its draft laws through the main legislative body.
Meanwhile, "New Democracy" party headed by Prime Minister Antonis Samaras got 27.81% of votes (76 seats). "Khrisi Avgi" party- 6.29% (17 seats).
