European Union is biased in terms of visa issues for Kazakhstan - Idrisov
Astana. February 16. KazTAG - The European Union is biased in terms of visa regime facilitation in respect of Kazakhstan, said Yerlan Idrisov, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan.
"Within the frameworks of work with the European Union, one important direction for us is the work on visa issues. It is a certain block of our activity. We know and hear from our population, from us, that our citizens face big difficulties on European visas receiving. We constantly raise this issue before our European colleagues. We believe that with the new European commission we will initiate negotiations on this issue," said Idrisov.
"This question is not easy, there are certain biased positions from the side of European Union in respect of our space, and we will gradually try to overcome them. We have a set of arguments which we will use in our negotiations process," he added.
He reminded Kazakhstan provided visa free regime for 10 states for one year which directed the highest investments sum in Kazakhstani economy.
