Expert alerts about high risk of potential source of COVID-19 from Afghanistan
Tashkent. May 22. KazTAG - Bakhtiyer Ergashev, head of the center of research initiatives Ma'no, alerts about high risk of potential Afghan source of COVID-19.
"The neighboring states- Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan to some extent control COVID-19. There can be certain outbreaks, like it is now in Tajikistan, but in general it is clear how they are going to act. There is no understanding how it is going to be done in Afghanistan. In the time of pandemic Ghani and Abdullah cannot find an agreement and their extent of responsibility. In addition, Taliban has activated. They do not understand what is quarantine and self-isolation is. In Uzbekistan we clearly realize the potential threat of Afghan source," he said at the international conference answering the question how Uzbekistan responds to possible outbreak of COVID-19 in Afghanistan.
