Experts forecast 5.6% GDP growth in 2014
Almaty. May 13. KazTAG - The growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will make up 5.6% in 2014 in Kazakhstan, reports Eurasian Development Bank.
"According to the EDB prognosis, by the results of the year the GDP growth will make up 5.6%," reads the message.
The analytical EDB department published "Macromonitor CIS" report.
"The experts indicated favorable growth perspectives in the economy of Kazakhstan, although slowdown of economic activeness was observed in February. The growth of short-term economic indicator slowed down to minimal level in the past two years making 2.3% in comparison to February 2013," reads the reports.
Besides agriculture and construction branches slowdown concerned all other branches.
"Internal demand intensified. However, since Q2 2014 the situation must improve following expansion of fiscal stimulus in order to compensate the consequences of February devaluation and growing external competitiveness," reads the message.
