Experts register 5 fold growth of racism and xenophobia among internet users in Kazakhstan in 2013
Almaty. April 29. KazTAG - 5 fold growth of racism, nationalism and xenophobia display among the internet users was registered in Kazakhstan in 2013, said Shavkat Sabirov, president of Internet Association of Kazakhstan.
In his words, 26.6% of messages which came from the internet-users to the hot line for combating illegal content were connected with racism, nationalism and xenophobia.
"Racism, nationalism and xenophobia increased by 5 times in 2013," he said at the V regional Central-Asian forum "Development of internet branch in Central Asia InternetCA-2014".
In his words, half of the complaints concerned "assaults and baiting in the net".
