Export of oil bearing crop made up $150 mln in 2013
Astana. April 23. KazTAG - Export volume of oil bearing crop made up $150 mln in 2013, said Nurbek Dairbekov, managing and commercial director of the Food Corporation.
"The earning from export of oil bearing crop made up $150 mln that can be compared to more than 10% of the total volume of wheat export. This share is quite big," he said at the briefing in the central communications service under the President.
In his words, the policy conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, for increase of croplands seeding with alternative crops showed results.
"We see gradual dynamics of increase of oil bearing crops production in Kazakhstan. As a result Kazakhstan started to cover its demand in seed oil, vegetable oils, and also started to export oil bearing crops to other states," he said.
