Astana. March 12. KazTAG - The final diagnosis for the plane passenger from Delhi with cholera assumption will be declared within three days, said Zhandarbek Bekshin, chairman of the health care committee, chief state sanitary doctor.
"Medical workers arrived to the airport of Astana, two ambulances, an infectionist. After the landing the patient was examined on board. The sick man and his colleague were examined for medical and ethical reasons. There were almost no clinical signs. They were hospitalized. Three examinations are needed to declare the final diagnosis. It will be declared after 2-3 days," he said.
He said a full range of preventive measures was carried out on board , five units of equipment and 15 employees of medical organizations were involved.
“We also conducted work with passengers, disinfection of baggage, transport, on which passengers were transported. After conducting explanatory work for 30 minutes, the passengers were sent to pass the border control. The transit patient is a citizen of Ukraine. He flew in transit to Ukraine. He stayed in India for about two months. The diagnosis has not been confirmed, the preliminary diagnosis is an acute intestinal infection of unknown etiology," he added.
