Fines for traffic rules violation doubled in Kazakhstan - MIA
Astana. April 30. KazTAG - The fines for traffic rules violation have been doubled in Kazakhstan, said Alibek Kenesbayev, head of administrative police department of MIA.
"In average the fines have been increased by 1.5-2 times, on some articles by 3 times," he said.
According to the updates drivers will be fined for parking on the places for disabled people and for violation of stops and parking rules.
"Drivers will be fined 50 MCI for such violations, 1 MCI is equal to 1852 tenge in Kazakhstan. In case of repeated violation one will be fined 75 MCI," he said.
"Responsibility has been toughened on the article 467 for driving in drunken condition. There is a category of people we cannot apply administrative arrest to. It is pregnant women and disabled people. They will be fined 200 MCI," he said.
In the first quarter 2014 422 000 fines have been charged to 3.6 bln tenge.
The new measures of administrative responsibility for traffic rules violation come into force since April 30 2014.
