"There has been a drama in the Talgar river. In the area of Cosmos village somebody dumped water (local inhabitants put the blame on Adal company). The river turned black, fish was jumping on the river bank. The water was dumped in the afternoon on May 26. Not only the hatchlings, but big fish have died," said Ilga Gumirovana, eco-activist.
Saken Dildakhmet, spokesman for the forestry and animal world of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources, said the committee is checking the situation.
"We have sent the specialists to the scene," he said.
