Food funding for prisoners to be increased by almost 1.5 times from 2020 in Kazakhstan

Astana. October 19. KazTAG - The funding allocated for food for prisoners will be increased by almost 1.5 times from 2020, said Zhanat Eshmagambetov, chairman of the committee of the penal system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.
“Nutrition standards are approved by the government decree on the recommendation of the Kazakh Academy of Nutrition. The list of products consists of 26 items. Today, at current prices, the daily rate is T630 per person. The list of products will be increased from 26 to 32 items in terms of variety, quality and daily weight. From the beginning of next year, the daily standard will be T1050," he said.
