Food prices climbed by 9.5% in March in EAEU

Almaty. April 22. KazTAG - Food prices in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) increased by 9.5% in March, said the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
“Consumer prices for goods and services in the EAEU increased by almost 7% in March 2022 compared to February and by more than 9% compared to December last year. A significant increase in prices was recorded for non-food products (by almost 11.5%) and food products (by 9.5%),” said the report.
Higher than in the EAEU, the increase in food prices was recorded in Russia (by 10%), non-food products - in Russia (by almost 13%) and in Belarus (by 12%).
