“On January 20, at about 15.00 local time (about 20.00 Nur-Sultan time), an explosion hit in one of the buildings on Toledo Street in Madrid. According to preliminary data, the explosion killed and injured people. The Consul of Kazakhstan in Madrid is in contact with the local authorities. At present,we are investigating if there are citizens of Kazakhstan among the dead and injured, ” reads the statement.
A gas leak could have been the cause of the blast.
