Free of charge molecular-genetic cancer tests to be introduced in Kazakhstan
Astana. March 18. KazTAG - Free of charge molecular-genetic cancer tests are planned to be introduced in Kazakhstan, said Yelzhan Birtanov, Minister of Health Care.
"About 40 bn tenge are annually allocated for medical services for oncological patients. The complex plan of anti-oncological arrangements provides additional 8 bn tenge for expansion of free of charge services: screening, molecular-genetic tests, radiological diagnostics services, ” said Birtanov in the Majilis.
In his words, it is planned to purchase equipment worth 3.2 bn tenge, the main part of which is intended for the development of the oncological services in the regions.
According to the Health Care Ministry, a comprehensive plan to combat cancer diseases for 2018-2022, includes four areas - prevention and management of risk factors; development of highly effective early diagnosis; implementation of an integrated model of oncological care; development of human resources and science.
