Free screenings of French cinema will be held in Kazakhstan

Astana. March 4. KazTAG – Free screenings of French films as part of the season of cultural events “Francophone Spring 2024” will be held in Kazakhstan.
“This year the festival will be organized for the 14th time and will be held in seven cities of Kazakhstan: Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Shymkent,” the organizers said at a briefing in the Central Communications Service.
Francophone Spring will open with a film week. The program will present 10 films for all ages and tastes, reflecting the cultural diversity of Francophonie. Many of these films were successfully presented at international film festivals, for example, “Anatomy of a Fall” and “Olf’s Daughters” were nominated for an Oscar in 2024. People will be able to watch most of the films for free.
In addition to cinema, as part of the “Francophone Spring 2024”, the organizers will introduce Kazakhstani people to modern, traditional and classical music. Conferences, photo exhibitions, and French language competitions are planned.
