"The victim born in 1939 was taken to the resuscitation unit with serious concomitant injury. She had low pressure, traumatic shock, and fracture of left and right ribs. She died at 17.30," said Zhambul Berdaliyev, acting head of the traumatological department of Karasay central hospital.
Gas exploded in a flat located on the 5th floor on January 8 at 13.15 in Kaskelen, suburbs of Almaty. The blast has not caused fire but collapsed the interior walls. A child born in 2009 died on the scene. Six people were taken to hospital, including three children.
