Gas tariff may climb by 7% since July 1

Uralsk. June 21. KazTAG - Gas tariff may climb by 7% in Uralsk since July 1.
Western-Kazakhstan's branch KazTransGas Aimak requested to increase the tariff. An appropriate request has been sent to the committee for natural monopolies regulation, while public hearing on this issue was held on June 20.
"The current tariff taking in account the costs of transportation through gas distributing mains makes 17 812 tenge per 1000 cu m with VAT. The main components of gas price are wholesale price, transportation tariff and expenses on gas sale. Taking in account increased wholesale prices and sale costs we ask to increase the tariff to 19 118 tenge per 1 0000 cu m, i.e. by 7.3%," said Azimbek Asarov, director of branch of KazTransGas Aimak.
In the near future the committee for natural monopolies regulation is expected to announce decision on the issue.
