General Prosecutor's Office of Kyrgyzstan considering Parliament's decree on withdrawal of immunity status from Atambayev
Almaty. June 25. KazTAG - The General Prosecutor's Office of Kyrgyzstan is considering the decree of the Parliament on withdrawal of immunity status fr om Almazbek Atambayev, ex president of Kyrgyzstan, reports the Kyrgyzstan Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG).
"The resolution of the deputy commission was filed to the General Prosecutor's Office oт June 20. Currently the document is under consideration. The terms will be announced later," said Zharkynay Aziyeva, representative of the General Prosecutor's Office.
As it was reported, Zhogorku Kenesh approved the conclusion of the deputy commission on withdrawal of the immunity status from Atambayev on June 20. The decree was sent to the General Prosecutor's Office which is supposed to give its estimation to the charges in respect of at Atambayev.
Atambayev is accused on six episodes including suppression of deputies, judges, public figures and mass media; illegal release of criminal authority Aziz Batukayev, illegal appropriation of a land area in Kot-Tash village wh ere Atambayev built a house; possible affiliation with Aka Petroleum and Aka Invest companies; corruption in the time of modernization of Bishkek HPS; possible involvement in illegal coal supply to Bishkek HPS.
