Gold and currency reserves of Kazakhstan reached $88 bn - Nazarbayev
Astana. December 29. KazTAG - Gold and currency reserves of Kazakhstan have increased to $88 bn, which gives sustainable development to the economy of the state, said Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan.
"Our economy has shown growth by over four percent, it is above the world level. We need more, although under the current condition it is a good result. Inflation within the corridor - 5-7 percent. Gold and currency reserves have increased and reached $88 bn, it gives sustainability to the state in case of crisis," said N. Nazarbayev at the press-conference.
The President reminded that "three months ago the price of oil barrel was $80, now it is below $60".
"More than half of budget receipts come from crude products," he said.
He reminded despite drop of world oil prices for crude products "this year we commissioned a hundred new objects; more than half a million of people got a new job". "In general economy is balanced," he concluded.
