Government considering expansion of social risks included into obligatory insurance system
Astana. May 20. KazTAG - The Government of Kazakhstan is considering expansion of social risks, included into the system of obligatory social insurance, said Gulshara Abdykalikova, Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
"The system of obligatory social insurance introduced in Kazakhstan in 2005 was focused on social insurance of 3 risks: disablement, loss of breadwinner, loss of workplace. 2 new risks were introduced in 2008 connected with maternity and child care. Now we are considering expansion of social risks," she said at the third international scientific-practical conference "From social protection- to social progress".
In her words, despite positive tendencies characterizing Kazakhstani labor market one of the problems is still high proportion of ineffective employment.
"Today the Government is taking measures in order to formalize labor relations of shade economy sector applying effective measures in order to expand accessibility of productive employment for self-employed people, availability of balanced system of social provision including the main elements of social provision of population and also social insurance of working people," she said.
