Half of electric power volume to be generated through renewable sources by 2050
Astana. February 23. KazTAG - 50% of energy must be generated by the renewable energy sources by 2050 in Kazakhstan, said Vladimir Shkolnik, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan.
"We remember that 3% of electric power must be generated by the renewable energy sources by 2020 - first of all solar, wind and hydro, by 2030-10%, by 2050 - 50% including the atomic stations," said Shkolnik.
He added "22.5 mln tenge have been allocated for acquisition of 10 installations of renewable sources" within the frameworks of budget programs for renewable energy development in 2015.
