Astana. September 22. KazTAG - Harvesting is going twice as fast as last year in Kazakhstan, said Saparkhan Omarov, Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
“Harvesting is going ahead of schedule. As of September 18, the grain elevators had received 2.4 million tons of wheat, which was 2.8 times more than last year. Barely harvest amounted to 504.6 thousand tons, and 114.5 thousand tons of other crops," he said.
A total of 3 million tons of grain from the new harvest have been supplied to licensed elevators, two times higher in comparison to last year.
