Harvesting takes two times longer time due to exhaustion of agricultural technique

Astana. November 18. KazTAG - Harvesting works take two times longer time in Kazakhstan due to worn-out agricultural technique, reports the Ministry of Agriculture.
"Up to date 147 000 of tractors, more than 38 000 combiners, about 40 000 of seeding complexes, 78 000 seeders and 300 000 items of feed and soil techniques are in use. Due to exhaustion of the technique the harvesting time is two times longer. It results in the loss of crops, additional expenses on fuel and so on," said the message spread at the session of collegium of the Ministry of Agriculture.
85% of tractors and 65% of combiners are more than 10 years old. In average the average wear of agricultural technique makes 76%.
"From 2014 the Government has been taking measures for update of agricultural fleet. Subsidizing of investment expenses and interest rates are planned in the state program of agricultural complex development in 2017-2021 for acquisition of agricultural technique, leasing of equipment, and a loan and leasing on the line of KazAgro. However, the share of old tractors and combines has not lowered, but increased. How did it happen?" wondered Saparkhan Omarov, Minister of Agriculture.
Azat Sultanov, director of department of industry and processing of crops products said the average level of update amounted to 3.5% in 2018.
