Head of Federation Council of Russia to visit Bishkek to discuss accession of Kyrgyzstan in CU
Almaty. October 20. KazTAG -A delegation of the Federation Council of Russia chaired by Valentina Matviyenko will visit Kyrgyzstan to discuss the prospects of Russia-Kyrgyzstan cooperation and accession of the state to the Customs Union, reports the TASS news agency.
"Within the frameworks of two days visit (October 20-21) the delegation will meet the authorities of Kyrgyzstan and hold negotiations in Zhogorku Kenesh. The speaker of the upper chamber of Russian Parliament will visit Russian-Kyrgyzstan Slavic University and CSTO air base "Kant," reports the message.
According to Matviyenko, friendship and mutual cooperation connect Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
"The potentials of cooperation expansion of Russia and Kyrgyzstan are quite significant. Joint projects in electric energy, oil and gas field and other perspective directions are being implemented," she said.
She added accession of Kyrgyzstan in the Customs Union and Unified Economic Space will open new cooperation opportunities.
