Head of Kyrgyzstan MFA handed note to Tajikistan ambassador due to incident at border
Almaty. May 11. KazTAG - Erlan Abdyldayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has handed a note to Tajikistan ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Olim Rakhimov due to the incident at the border, reports the KyrTAG news agency.
According to the message of the MFA, due to the incident which happened on May 7 in Zhaka-Oruk area of Batkensk district provoked by Tajikistan people, Olim Rakhimov was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"During the meeting Abdyldayev passed an official note to the diplomat of Tajikistan and expressed concern about illegal actions of Tajikistan citizens at the territory of Kyrgyzstan, he also called to take measures to reveal and punish the offenders," reads the message.
Citizens of two states had clashes throwing stones into each other on May 7 on the road Votuh-Isphara running through Ak-Say, Kok-Tash, Orto-Boz villages to Tajikistan.
Tajikistan citizens set a refueling station, two KamAZ vehicles and three pavilions in Orto-Boz village on fire which belonged to the citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
10 Kyrgyzstan citizens and 30 citizens of Tajikistan suffered in the clashes.
