Humankind getting back to middle ages
Astana. May 23. KazTAG - Humankind is getting back to the middle ages, said Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan.
"Today about 40% of world riches is concentrated in the hands of almost 1% of the world population. At the same time almost 70% of the world population have only 3% of the riches. Taking in account demographic trends this tendency will grow," he said at VII Astana economic forum.
"Instead of post-industrial world the human civilization will get to the period which is called by researches as new Middle Ages," he said.
In his words, inequality of revenues is growing and may frustrate global development provoking colossal social tension in the future.
