Import increased import of Kazakhstani wheat by almost 5 times in January-May

Astana. July 9. KazTAG - Kazakhstan increased export of wheat and wheat and rye mixture export to Iran to 505.9 thousand tons to $133.4 mln in January-May 2014, 384.4% up in quantity and 289% up in cost year on year, reports the customs control committee of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the published data, without accounting the CU states, Kazakhstan increased wheat export in January-May 2014 to 1928.3 thousand tons ($454.7 mln), 72.2% up in quantity and 46.2% up in cost year on year.

The largest consumers of Kazakhstani wheat, in addition to Iran, were: Uzbekistan - 301.7 thousand tons (26.2%) to $ 48.6 million (8.8%), Azerbaijan - 277.4 thousand tons (-15, 2%) to $ 65.8 million (-35.9%), Tajikistan - 272.9 thousand tons (21.6%) to $ 64.8 million (1.3%), Kyrgyzstan - 158.5 thousand tons (+75.3%) to $ 33.5 million (31.9%), China - 152.7 thousand tons (24 times up) to $ 40.9 million (19 times up).

In addition, in the reported period Germany imported 55.3 million tons (the state did not import in the same period in 2013) to $ 12.3 million, Sudan - 54.6 thousand tons (no import in 2013) to $ 14.5 million, Turkey - 50 2 tons (-40.4%%) to $ 15.3 million (-34.8%), Sweden - 31.5 thousand tons (-2.5%) to $ 8.2 million (-24, 4%), Georgia - 24.5 tons (58 times up) to $ 6.6 million (41 times up), Afghanistan - 18.5 thousand tons (75.3%) to $ 4.2 million (31.9%), the United Arabic Emirates - 13.2 thousand tons (no import last year) to $ 3.2 million, Norway - 6 tons (no import last year) $ 1.6 million, Poland - 5.5 thousand tons (152%) to $ 1.8 million (142.6%).
