Industrial production volume in Kazakhstan fell by 0.1 % in January- April - Statistics Agency
Astana . May 14. KazTAG - Industrial production volume in Kazakhstan decreased by 0.1 % in January- April 2014 compared with the corresponding period in 2013 , reports the Agency of Statistics.
According to the statistics, decline by 0.3% was observed in mining and quarrying industry , water supply, sewerage system , control over the collection and distribution of waste - by 1.2%. In the manufacturing sector the volume increased by 0.1% ,in electricity, gas , steam and air conditioning - by 1.4%.
Crude oil , including gas condensate, amounted to 26.9 million tons (-1%) , copper ores - 12 million tons ( -14.9 %). Gasoline production was 0.9 million tons ( 13.1 %) , gas oil - 1.5 million ( -10.7 %). Production of flat-rolled products amounted to 0.8 million tons ( 19.1 %) , refined copper - 0.1 million tons ( -28.7 %) , portland cement - 1.7 million tons ( +6.3% ) , electricity - 32.9 billion kWh ( 0.6 %) , flour - 1.3 million tons ( +15.4% ) .
Decline was recorded in Aktobe, Atyrau , Kostanay , Kyzylorda , Pavlodar oblasts and Astana .
