International experts forecast 5% economy growth in 2014
Almaty. April 30. KazTAG - Economic growth will make up 5% in 2014 in Kazakhstan, said Ivan Chakarov, chief economist of Citi in Russia and CIS.
"According to our basis scenario we forecast 5% economic growth in Kazakhstan (in 2014-KazTAG)," he said.
In his words, the growth will make up 1% in Russia, 3.5% in Ukraine.
"As for economic development of Kazakhstan, in our opinion, the main growth driver is consumption, and consumption expenses," he added.
In his words, consumption is being developed due to retail crediting.
" We forecast growth ( of retail crediting-KazTAG) at about 30%," he concluded.
In his words, among the reasons which may negatively affect economic growth is close interaction of economies of Kazakhstan and Russia, growth rate reduction in China.
