International reserves of Kazakhstan dropped by almost 5% since the beginning of 2022

Astana. August 10. KazTAG - Kazakhstan's international reserves have decreased by almost 5% since the beginning of 2022, said the National Bank.
“The volume of gross international reserves of Kazakhstan, according to preliminary data, decreased by 4.6% or by $1.6 billion and amounted to $32.8 billion in January-July 2022,” reads the report.
The assets in foreign currency have grown since the beginning of the year by 8%, to $11.7 billion, assets in gold decreased by 10.5%, to $21 billion. Net international reserves decreased by 4.5%, to $30.9 billion.
