Interpol is looking for Satybaldy's father-in-law for theft at the Karatau mine - source

Astana. May 2. KazTAG – Interpol is looking for Bakhtiyar Baiseitov, Kairat Satybaldy’s father-in-law (nephew of ex-President Nursultan Nazarbayev), regarding theft at the Karatau mine, a source said.
“The wanted owner of Iri building LLP, who is mentioned in the anticorrosive press release, is Satybaldy’s father-in-law. Now Interpol is looking for him,” a source familiar with the situation told KazTAG.
The anti-corruption service announced the completion of a criminal investigation against the former management of Karatau LLP (a subsidiary of NAC Kazatomprom JSC), the director of the contractor Iri building LLP, as well as representatives of architectural and technical supervision. They are charged with the theft of T862 million in 2019-2021, allocated for construction and installation work as part of the project to modernize a uranium processing plant at the Karatau mine in the Sozak district of the Turkestan region.
