Investment projects to $12.3 bn tenge performed in petrochemical field of Kazakhstan - Ministry of Energy

Almaty. August 15. KazTAG - The investments projects to $12.3 bn tenge are being performed in the petrochemical field of Kazakhstan, reports the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
“Eight investment projects in the petrochemical field worth $12.3 bn are on the stage of performance," said Kanat Bozumbayev, Minister of Energy, at the meeting with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan.
The Minister noted that polypropylene and polyethylene projects at the Atyrau Oil Refinery are the largest polymer production projects among the neighboring countries.
“The volume of investments for the two projects makes $ 9 billion. At least 3 thousand work places  have been created during construction and 1 thousand permanent work places at the operation stage,”  he said.
