Iran’s uranium enrichment surpasses 4.5%: AEOI spokesman
Almaty. July 9. KazTAG - The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi announced that the level of Iran’s uranium enrichment has surpassed the 4.5% Monday morning, reports ISNA.
In an interview with ISNA, Behrouz Kamalvandi said, “Today, Iran has surpassed the 4.5% on its uranium enrichment. The purity level is enough to meet the country’s need in providing fuel for our power plants”.
“International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will analyze the taken samples and then announce the exact level of uranium enrichment,” he added.
The spokesman has also said increasing number of centrifuges and enriching uranium to 20 percent are options for Iran’s third step in reducing its commitments to the nuclear deal.
