Irrigated lands in South-Kazakhstan increased by 2760 hectares
Shymkent. November 12. KazTAG – Irrigated lands in Kazygyrt district, South-Kazakhstan region, increased by 2760 hectares, press service of region akimat informed.
«Irrigated lands in Kazygyrt district, South-Kazakhstan region, increased by 2760 hectares. Plans were overfulfilled 100%. Moreover, a method of drip irrigation is successfully introduced in the district. So, this year such method has been used on 354.6 hectares, until year end this method will be applied on more 159 hectares of land», -reads the message.
The district actively develops greenhouse enterprises. The total area of greenhouses reaches to 73.2 hectares. All grown products in greenhouses are on sale in markets of Shymkent, Almaty and Astana. Cereals were harvested 17.2 centners per hectare. In total, there were harvested 70 thousand tons cereals in the district.
«Farmers bought 3373 heads of cattle. There are 56 cattle feeding places, which house 7200 heads of cattle. In 12 villages there were built 27 centers for artificial insemination», - akimat informed.
