Judicial investigation in Bishimbayev case completed- the defendants did not admit guilt

Astana. April 25. KazTAG - The judicial investigation into the case of former Minister of National Economy Kuandyk Bishimbayev, who is accused of murdering Saltanat Nukenova, has been completed; the defendants have not admitted guilt.
“The court declares the judicial investigation completed. The court gives the parties time to prepare for court arguments until April 29, 2024,” said Aizhan Kulbaeva, judge.
The judge also brought to the attention of the jury that the statement of the defendant Bakhytzhan Baizhanov about pressure on him from Bishimbayev was not confirmed.
“According to the court order to check, a response was received from the prosecutor’s office of the city of Astana, which indicated that the arguments of the defendant Baizhanov were not confirmed,” Kulbaeva said.
Before the end of the hearing, the judge asked Bishimbayev and Baizhanov whether they admitted guilt - both did not admit guilt to the charges brought against them.
The debate will take place on April 29, April 30, May 2, May 3 and, if necessary, May 4.
The judge also noted that this was the 17th court hearing and there was enough time given to the parties.
