Karabayev promised to complete less than 24% of constructed and repaired roads

Astana. November 28. KazTAG – Transport Minister Marat Karabaev promised to complete less than 24% of roads under construction and repair in Kazakhstan by the end of the year.
“Today, work is underway on the construction and reconstruction of 3.6 thousand km of republican roads, of which 856 km will be fully completed (about 23.7% - KazTAG),” Karabaev said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
According to the minister, 700 km of roads are being overhauled and 200 km of them are planned to be put into operation. The average road repair covers 2.2 thousand km, and they plan to put 900 km of them into operation.
Thus, after major repairs it is planned to put into operation less than 29% of roads, after average repairs - less than 41%.
