Kazaeronavigation reported wrong site of Fokker-100 crash

Almaty. January 29. KazTAG - Kazaeronavigation has reported the wrong site of Fokker-100 crash of Bek Air company, reports Vremya newspaper.
"The chief flights controller said the accident occurred in 20A quarter at 7.35. The first fire engine arrived after one minute. But the information was false, in the time when the rescuers were on the way to the quarter 20A, they saw that the accident happened in the quarter 18B," said Natalya Sokolova, spokeswoman of Almaty airport.
Speaking about the anti-icing system of the plane, she said that the land services treat the aircrafts, "but precisely in the volume required by a captain of an aircraft".
"As for the quality of the anti-icing liquid, it was purchased through a tender in September last year, it has all the certificates and it has been used in treatment of other planes," she said.
She marked the airport is responsible only for pre-flight preparation of an aircraft, and then it is controlled by the dispatchers of Kazaeronavigation.
The members of the public council said they believe the airport is also responsible for the accident as it failed to take measures to prevent construction around the aerodrome. They believe there might have been no victims if the plane hadn't crashed into the constructed building.
