“20,000 terrorists were involved only in Almaty, but there were even more if we take into account all 11 regions that were simultaneously attacked. We will publish the results of the investigation and the evidence that these were terrorist groups,” Tleuberdi said in an interview with France 24 TV channel.
He assured that some of the attackers did not speak Russian or Kazakh.
“As our fellow citizens, my friends, say, among the armed activists there were people who did not speak either Kazakh or Russian. They spoke different Asian languages. Some terrorists spoke Kazakh with a strong accent, which suggests that Kazakh is not their native tongue, they learned it. All this is evidence that there were foreigners among the terrorists,” Tleuberdi added.
