Kazakhstan and Astana entered top twenty states and capitals with most polluted air
Almaty. March 13. KazTAG - Kazakhstan and Astana have entered the top twenty states and capitals with the most polluted air, reports AirViual.
Kazakhstan has been ranked 20th of 73 states being ahead of Peru and behind Kosovo.
The most polluted states are Bangladesh, Pakistan and India.
Uzbekistan took the 16th place, Lithuania - 42nd, Ukraine - 49th, Russia - 58th, Estonia - 70th. The countries with the cleanest air are Australia, Finland, Iceland.
In the ranking of capitals with the dirtiest air, Astana took the 19th place out of 62, Kiev - 45, Moscow - 53.
The rating is based on air quality data for 2018, obtained from public monitoring sources, special attention was paid to data that were published in real time. Sources include government monitoring networks, as well as verified data from individuals and organizations monitoring air quality.
