Kazakhstan and Bahrain to set cooperation on aluminium production

Astana. April 14. KazTAG - Aset Isekeshev, Vice Prime Minister- Minister of Industry and New Technologies and  Hassan Abdulla Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain, have signed a memorandum on cooperation on aluminium production.

"We have big cooperation potentials on this stage for aluminium production: about 800 000 tons of aluminium are produced in Bahrain. We have big fields in Kazakhstan and produce 250 000 tons of metal aluminium. We have potential to increase it to 500 000 at least. But we must process it. As for now we process a bit more than 25 000, there is a big potential here, we are ready to create a special zone for aluminium processing in Pavlodar," said Isekeshev at the business forum dedicated to cooperation of two states.

He added the bilateral cooperation will develop in the field of investments and industry. The parties are ready to sign one more document- on business council creation.

"It's necessary to understand in which field the cooperation of Kazakhstan and Bahrain will be effective," he said.

The parties also signed a memorandum on cooperation and development of business ties between trade-industrial chambers and the memorandums on cooperation for investment projects for production of food products and cattle breeding.
