Kazakhstan and UK signed memorandum of partnership in the field of minerals

Astana. March 20. KazTAG - Kazakhstan and the UK have signed a memorandum of partnership in the field of minerals, reports the press service of the Prime Minister.
“Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov met with James Cleverley , Minister of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth Affairs and Development of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who arrived in Astana on his first official visit. Memorandums on strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Great Britain in the field of development of environmentally friendly hydrogen and the most important mineral raw materials have been signed,” reads the report.
James Cleverley stressed that Kazakhstan is one of the most important trading partners of Great Britain in Central Asia and indicated the readiness of the United Kingdom to strengthen cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas.
Last year, the trade turnover between the countries grew up by almost 60%, exceeding $1.8 billion. In addition, the United Kingdom is among the TOP-10 investors in Kazakhstan: since 2005, about $16.5 billion of direct investments have been invested in the republic. The growth trend has continued in recent years.
