Kazakhstan commenced electricity export to Kyrgyzstan
Almaty. December 2. KazTAG - Kazakhstan started electricity export to Kyrgyzstan, reports the KyrTAG news agency.
"Electric power started coming from Kazakhstan. We have already reported that we have an agreement with Kazakhstan on import of 1 bln kWh. It will be provide during this and next year," said Kubanychbek Turdubayev, Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan.
He added Kazakhstan plans to sign agreements on monthly basis.
"As for now we have an agreement for December. The price at the border for imported electric power makes 5 S/kWh. Taking in account the state fee and VAT, 60 tiyn are added," he said.
