Kazakhstan developing logistics hub in Eurasia - KTZ
Almaty. March 4. KazTAG - Kazakhstan is establishing a logistics hub in Eurasia, reports the national company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
An international investments forum Silk Way - creation of new logistics opportunities for trade between Asia and Europe took place in the UAE. The forum was organized by the KTZ under support of the global naval terminal operator DP World. It involved more than 100 biggest logistics companies of 15 states.
"A strategic idea for development of Kazakhstan as Eurasian transport-logistic and business hub promoted by Kazakhstani President in the context of the Silk Way revival is being implemented," said Askar Mamin, KTZ president.
According to the KTZ press release, its strategic partner on this direction is DP World.
"We are ready to have a chance to share our competence in our ports and logistics experience with Kazakhstani companies of Khorgos SEZ and Aktau sea port. It will help Kazakhstan develop the modern logistic hubs, which are locomotives of economic development and strengthening of transit potential of the region," said Mukhammed Sharaf, chief executive director of DP World.
