Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations with Bahama Islands
Astana. December 11. KazTAG - Kazakhstan and the Bahama Islands have established the diplomatic relations, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The parties exchanged with diplomatic notes by the results of visit of Kazakhstani ambassador to Canada Konstantin Zhigalov to the capital of the Bahama Islands Nassau, where he conducted negotiations with heads of foreign, investment and tourist departments of the state," reads the message posted on the MFA site.
During the meeting of K.Zhigalov with Frederick Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of the Bahama Islands, the representatives of Kazakhstan and Bahamas expressed mutual interest in development of bilateral partnership in different fields.
"It is strengthening of political dialogue and cooperation on the international arena for promotion of nuclear non proliferation issues, energy security and renewed development, human rights, interethnic and inter-religion tolerance, including within the frameworks of the UN, the Caribbean Community where the Bahama Islands will chair since January 1 2015," reads the message.
