Astana. April 16. KazTAG - Kazakhstan has no data about total capital withdrawal from the country in the years of independence, said Kairat Kelimbetov, chairman of the National Bank.
"Unfortunately there is no authentic statistics about capital withdrawal and where the money flowed, where it is now," he said.
"But we expect it may be billions of dollars (in the result of upcoming profits legalization in Kazakhstan-KazTAG). I don't want to voice any figure today. Everything will depend on the period," he said.
He reminded the legalization for the profits legalization campaign would be adopted "in the first half of the year".
"Then explanatory work will start, and conditionally, somewhere in the second half of the year the campaign will be launched. It is planned to be finished by the end of next year. If the period is like this, the sum will be high," he concluded.
