Kazakhstan increased import of Argentinean meat by 4.7 times in January-March
Astana. April 30. KazTAG - Kazakhstan increased import of fresh, frozen and chilled meat and sub products from Argentina to 1.2 thousand tons to $1.7 bln in January-March 2014, that is 4.7 times up in quantity and 3.9 times up in sum year on year, reports the customs control committee of the Ministry of Finance.
According to the reported data without accounting the CU states, Kazakhstan imported 17.6 thousand tons of meat to $26.2 mln, 1.4% up in quantity and 3.8% up in cost year on year.
The biggest meat suppliers to Kazakhstan have been the US- 7.1 thousand tons (-0.7%), Ukraine-5000 tons (-12.5%), Argentina- 1.2 thousand tons (4.7 times up), Poland- 0.8 thousand tons (-28.6%), Bulgaria-0.6 thousand tons (4.6 times up).
