Kazakhstan is establishing partnership with Russia in the field of maritime transport

Astana. August 5. KazTAG - Kazakhstan is establishing a partnership with Russia in the field of maritime transport and logistics, said  the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan.
“Today, representatives of Kazakhstan’s business community are present at the meeting, who also came to get acquainted with the region’s logistics potential to consider further joint projects. There are all the prerequisites for developing our cooperation in the field of transport and logistics,” said Transport Minister Marat Karabayev during a visit to the Murmansk port.
The Murmansk regional administration met with the Kazakh delegation and discussed transport and logistics opportunities for further cooperation.
According to the data, the cargo turnover of the Murmansk port has been steadily growing from year to year. In 2023, the cargo turnover of the Murmansk port amounted to 58 million tons. The new Lavna port terminal with a capacity of 18 million tons is at an advanced stage of readiness.
