Kazakhstan is in line on corruption perception index with Zambia and Nepal

Astana. January 24. KazTAG - Kazakhstan was in line with Zambia and Nepal on the corruption perception index in 2019, reports Transparency Kazakhstan.
"By the results of 2019 Kazakhstan got 34 points and took 113th place along with the Philippines, Zambia, Nepal, Salvador and Swaziland," said the report.
The corruption perception index drawn up by Transparency International includes 180 states.
"Being based on 13 types of businessmen and experts surveys, the TI experts estimated how much the states are inclined to corruption on the scale from zero to 100, where zero is a high level of corruption, and 100- is low. This year the focus was made on political transparency, connection between politics, money and corruption, including the impact of financing rules of election campaigns on the political power and elections," said the fund.
Kazakhstan gaining 34 points in 2019 has improved its position by three points- in 2018 the state got only 31 points.
