Kazakhstan is preparing to introduce criminal liability for promoting suicide

Astana. February 21. KazTAG - It is planned to introduce criminal liability for promoting suicide in Kazakhstan, said Marat Bashimov, Majilis deputy.
“For the promotion of suicide, a fine of 200 MCI  will be charged, and if the propaganda resulted in the attempted suicide of one or more persons, then punishment will follow in the form of restriction or imprisonment for one year,” Bashimov said on Wednesday during the discussion of bills on ensuring women’s rights and security children, as well as amendments to the Administrative Code.
According to him, it is necessary to tighten the punishment under this article.
